Tungsten among these critical metals for defense

Since the increase in arms budgets globally, new strategic partnership have emerged to secure supply. Moreover financial markets have already reflected the attention of investors for some specific and critical metals such as tungsten.

We might live again the crazyness to dig for building ammunitions and missiles.

Tungsten is indispensable in applications such as armor-piercing ammunition, missile components and nuclear weapon protection.

Strange situation that brings us back heighty years ago when Africa ( as Zambian copperbelt) plays its role of feeding the second world war critical metals needs. "A wide range of African metallic and non-metallic ores played a vital - and in some cases an indispensable - role in the Allied victory in 1945"*.

Some critical metals can have different roles ranging from a component used in a peaceful energy transition to an indispensable ingredient in military high tech applications.

Be prepared to question yourself about where you put your money!

Armaments have direct links to industrial competition and ambitions to control supply chains. Europe must position itself quickly and not abandon Greenland or Estonia, which has a processing and manufacturing plant for permanent magnet compounds.
